How do your products differ from other products?
Our products are not feed-based and only contain ingredients necessary for the horse's health. We do not use additives, fillers, coloring, flavoring, preservatives, or bi-products. Our scientists formulate our products for maximum absorbability and utilization by the horse; this is the Equina difference.
Where are vitamins derived from?
Our vitamins are sourced from natural, organic and high-quality sources throughout Europe. They are minimally processed to ensure high potency and bio-absorption.
My horse only eats pellets - when will you add pellets?
Pelleted products have a compromised nutrient base and quality due to the pelleting/production process. Powder and liquid products allow ingredients to be in their pure form and, therefore, maximize nutrient absorption. With proper introduction, we have found that horses accept the powder and liquid without issue.
Why are there so many separate products, and why are they not combined for easier feeding?
As horse owners, we understand the desire to make feeding supplements as simple as possible. However, creating a multi-purpose product often leads to a compromise in the absorption of all the ingredients.
To ensure that your horse receives the full benefits of each supplement, our products were formulated to be fed together without compromising the absorbency of any of the ingredients. This means that while you may need to administer multiple supplements, each one has been carefully formulated to ensure the highest level of absorption, ensuring that your horse receives the full benefit of each supplement.

Why do I need to introduce these products gradually to my horse?
Our products are pure vitamins and minerals with minimal natural flavoring, not a feed product produced for palatability. Introducing the products in smaller quantities gradually will ensure your horse will positively acclimate to our products. When introduced properly, every horse will happily eat all of our products. Why is iron in some of your products? Is it dangerous for my horse?
Iron is an essential nutrient necessary to absorb other nutrients in their bodies.
Why are your products difficult to open?
Our products are made fresh in small batches and contain no preservatives, so a strong seal is necessary to maintain quality and potency.
Is the vitamin E synthetic or natural?
Our vitamin E is a natural-based synthetic vitamin, RAC Alpha-Tocopherol, which is highly absorbable and more consistent in quality.
Why don't you have a product for digestive issues/ulcers?
Our team of scientists has yet to find a realistic nutritional solution for resolving advanced digestive issues or ulcers due to the true nature of the horse's digestive tract. However, the yeast found in many of our products supports digestive issues.
Are the minerals chelated?
Yes, chelation occurs to the necessary minerals.
Is it safe for insulin-resistant or horses with metabolic issues?
Yes, all products are safe for horses with these types of issues.
Why am I just now hearing about Equina?
The importation process is lengthy and expensive, and The United States tends to favor products produced here in the United States.
